MTA have completed their final preparations for Poland. Our preparation seminar introduced the group to the world of Chassidim, guided them through the history of 1000 years of Jewish life in Poland, and explored with them some of the tragedies of the Shoah.
As we stand and learn in the sites where some of the greatest rabbinic and secular Jewish minds of the past learned and taught, we will pay tribute to those who lived there and to those who died there.
By being there, we will prove that the Jewish people continue to endure with a creative spirit, a passion to learn and a love of Judaism despite the tragedy that befell the Jews of Europe. That's why we these words, from the Song of the Jewish Partisans, will accompany us on our journey: umitzadenu od yar'im... anachnu po, "Our step beats out the message... we are here!"
During the trip Jeremy (for the girls) and I (for the boys) will try to email you us much as possible to update you, so that you, too, can join us on our journey through Poland. This will depend on internet access and time availability.
for Parents:
In case of real emergency, the Bnei Akiva office will be able to contact us. In such a situation, please call Ilan Osrin on +972 52 598 8240. For non-urgent matters, you can email me, although please don't expect immediate replies. Your children won't be bringing mobile phones or laptop computers with to Poland.
I look forward to a meaningful and uplifting experience in Poland with your children.
Bevirkat Chaverim LeTorah Va'Avodah,

Jonny Lipczer
